Comanchero (ˌkəʊmænˈtʃeərəʊ; Spanish koˈmantʃeˌro) 



  1. (US history) a trader in 19th-century New Mexico who traded with the Native American nomadic tribes such as the Comanche, Navajo and Apache peoples. Comancheros traders were generally New Mexicans of Hispanic or mixed descent.
