Wortformen:(regular plural) front-end loads
( Insurance : General )
Replacement of an existing life insurance policy generally is not in the policy owner's
best interest, as a new front-end load for commissions and expenses must be paid.
Variable annuities often come with substantial front-end loads as well as annual charges that run to about twice those of no-load funds.
A front-end load is a the charging of costs at the beginning of an insurance policy rather than spreading
them over its term.
