Hindi translation of 'who'
who /huː हू/
You use who when asking questions about the name or identity of a person or group of people.
Who did you ask?
Who do you work for?
'You reminded me of somebody.' — 'Who?'
You use who to introduce a clause where you talk about the identity of a person or a group of people.
I was suddenly curious and asked who she was.
They haven't found out who did it.
You use who at the beginning of a relative clause when specifying the person or group of people you are talking about or when giving more information about them.
Who is now commonly used as the object where in the past it was only considered to be correct to use whom. Who, however, cannot be used directly after a preposition; for example, you cannot say 'the woman to who I spoke'. Instead you say 'the woman to whom I spoke' or 'the woman I spoke to'. There are some types of sentence, for example when you are talking about quantities, in which who cannot be used: ...twenty masked prisoners, many of whom are armed.
The woman, who needs constant attention, is cared for by relatives.
The man gave himself up to police, who are now questioning him.
