1. modal verb
You use would when you are saying what someone believed, hoped, or expected to happen or be the case.

You use would or would have to express your opinion about something that you think is true.

If you talk about what would have happened if a possible event had occurred, you are talking about the result or effect of that event.

It they had done that, then we would have called the police.
9. modal verb
If you say that someone would have liked or preferred something, you mean that they wanted to do it or have it but were unable to.
‘ऐसा होता तो’कहने के अर्थ में
I would have liked a bit more time.
