Since air discharge is affected by atmospheric conditions, there are limits specified for temperature,
humidity, and atmospheric pressure.
If a serious air discharge occurs there may be a smell of ozone in the near vicinity.
Air discharge is a method for testing ESD-protection structures in which the ESD generator is discharged
through an air gap between the generator and the device under test.
