Word forms: (regular plural) elastomeric closures
There is concern about interaction between drugs and the closure of the container,
and an effective elastomeric closure is required. Rubber is usually used as an elastomeric closure for vials and bottles because it can be molded to any shape. An elastomeric closure is a component that closes a piece of packaging, is made from a material that is
able to resume its original shape when it is removed from the packaging, and may be
in direct contact with the drug enclosed in the pack.
