The leaching of soluble salts by percolation of water through a bed of agglomerated soil was also carried out.
Leaching by percolation means flowing the solution past the solids and separation of the solution thus obtained
from the residues or undissolved material.
Percolation is a type of leaching, in which a solid is put in a pile, and a solvent is applied
to the upper surface of the pile.
