The response time
of a sensor
is the time it takes for it to respond from no load
to a sudden
change in load.
The thermocouple has a much faster response time and so gives a more representative indication of the heating element temperature.
In fuel cells, the electrical response time of the power section is fast, as it is associated with the speed at which the chemical
reaction can restore the charge that has been drained by the load.
