RFID tags have a computer chip that holds information, and a short- or long-range antenna that
can send information back to a central processing unit.
RFID tags are used in the retail industry as a tracking device for inventory tracking from
manufacture to distribution centers to the store.
RFID tags are barcodes that make use of radio waves to send information tracking individual
products at every stage, from delivery to stockroom to checkout, in a networked system.
