are funds that have not been intended
for any particular purpose.
Where the subsidiary has unappropriated profits at the beginning of the year, these will be either pre-acquisition profits
or profits earned since acquisition and not distributed.
Unappropriated retained earnings are the part of a company's profits not distributed as dividends
or set aside for a particular use.
